Banana Nudibranch
(or Notodoris Minor)

It's always exciting to see a Banana Nudibranch because it's so well-camouflaged. This was the first time we saw one, and it was on our first ever trip to Lembeh, when we stayed at SDQ and had Rudy as our guide. We didn't even know it was a nudibranch at that time, and thought it was just bright yellow coral. It was only when we saw it again a few years later on our fifth trip to Lembeh, and a guide told us it was a nudibranch, did we realise that this old picture shouldn't be in the coral page of Divewithsus.com (hee hee). After that, everytime I see bright yellow coral, I cannot resist going in for a closer look just in case a banana nudibranch is part of it.

We saw this one in May 2009 at Dante's Wall
