The one thing that stands out about diving in Maldives is having HUGE schools of fish swirling around you. That is simply the most amazing experience I've ever been through. Thinking about it still gives me a sense of euphoria. It was totally surreal to be surrounded by these fish, especially when you rotate yourself slowly (recline on your back, recline on your side, and back onto your belly)... If the world had chosen to end at that moment, I would have died a happy person.

Another thing that's special to me about Maldives is this hawksbill turtle ... if you witnessed the formative years of divewithsus, you will understand why. This unassuming turtle on the left, with the little fish swimming around him, became DWS' first official mascot and logo.
