Common Marine Life

Painted Rock Lobster hiding in a crevice. More active at night. But they are quite stupid, hiding yet their antennas are sticking out alerting everyone to their presence.

A nice shot of a row of Blue Fin Trevally (overexposed though). This species is abundant in the Maldives. The ones at the Ellaidhoo house Reef are BIG. I really love the way the blue sparkles especially during the night dives.

Long Nose Parrotfish

Moorish Idol, another fish made famous from Finding Nemo. It's feeding on algae on the right.

Green Faced Parrotfish

Sheep Head Parrotfish. You can often see them munching on the hard coral rocks with their sharp teeth.

The Oriental Sweetlips is very common in Maldives. On the right, is a shot of one being cleaned by a Cleaner Wrasse. Many of these cleaning stations are found throughout the reef. The Cleaner Wrasse obligingly clean just about everybody FOC. I had the opportunity to be cleaned, and it feels like someone poking you very gently.
